Our Legacy
Our family journey began sometime in the 1940’s, with our Grandpa, Alfred Koehn. Grandpa helped his sons, Gene and Jim, get a start in Merced County near Livingston with farming.
In the 1960s, Gene Koehn, affectionately known as “Trucker Gene,” and his brother, our Uncle Jim, embarked on a mission to serve the farming industry in our local area and worked hard to help transport their farmer neighbor’s crops of raisins, peaches, almonds and grains. They envisioned a trucking company with a purpose – to support the agricultural community within a 100-150 mile radius of our home and to provide a living for their families doing work they enjoyed! This focus on a niche market allowed us to forge deep connections and provide a level of service that resonates to this day.
Sustaining Values
Built on the foundations of tradition, integrity, and faith, Koehn Trucking has thrived under the guidance of Gene’s sons, Randy and Ron Koehn, since 1985. We believe that business should be more than a transaction; it should be a harmonious blend of livelihood, family, and community. Our vision ensures that our work not only meets the highest standards of professionalism but is also rooted in the strong Christian values that are integral to our family heritage.

Our journey is marked by immerse potential and inevitable challenges, and we eagerly anticipate the upcoming chapters.
As the second generation begins the transition, the baton is passed to ensure a seamless progression towards our aspirations. Tristan envisions Koehn Trucking evolving into not just a trucking entity, but a symbol of dependability, trustworthiness, and mutual triumph. Tristan finds solace in maneuvering challenging terrains and relishes the open road’s adventurous allure. The resonance of customer interactions, especially when exceeding expectations, captivates him. Beyond, Tristan’s son Jave has shown a burgeoning fascination with engines and trucks, hinting at a promising future as the next torchbearer.
The amalgamation of family upbringing and business management presents its share of trials, yet our unshakable faith acts as an anchor, underpinning our unwavering values for both our esteemed employees and valued customers.”
